Three Valentine’s Vacation Ideas

Some people celebrate the holiday at home, and some eschew Valentine’s Day altogether. We believe that the best bang for your buck when it comes to Valentine’s day is a little vacation. Everybody has a different idea about what constitutes a romantic Valentine’s Day Vacation, so here’s a list to help you get started!

For more advice, we also have articles on Cold Weather Date Ideas and New Years Resolutions

Ski Holiday

Snow sports can be tricky, so only go for this option if you are at a similar skill level (or if one of you loves playing instructor). There’s nothing quite like the romance of sitting in front of a blazing fire and watching the snow fall. You have a wide range of options when it comes to budgeting for this trip, anything from a hostel near the lifts to a 5-star resort. Also for those of you who don’t live anywhere near snow, you can turn it into a road trip.

The Beach

If you are not a snow person, you can always go in the opposite direction and head for the beach. This one will need to be booked in advance, no one wants to be paying last-minute ticket prices. Our top recommendations for a romantic sunny getaway are Turks and Caicos, the Maldives, or Fiji. Book a massage in your room, head to the pool for some swimming and really soak in those rays!

Book a Cruise

Cruises are great for people who don’t want to spend a lot of time planning trips. You can buy your tickets and hop on board. Make sure you book a balcony room for those romantic sea views. There is a lot of versatility about which cruises would suit you and your partner so maybe double-check the reviews before you jump in. You don’t want to end up on a singles party cruise by accident (or on purpose if you’re into that).

Thoughts to Ponder

"Relationships include fights, jealously, arguments, tears and disagreements. But a real relationship fights through all that with love. That's why love has to be the foundation if you're looking for a relationship that lasts."
